Technology Solutions for Teachers

Learning through the power of communication

The Let's Talk Learning range of solutions and technology tools empowers the learning process through multi-sensory, multi-language, multi-intelligence, multi-discipline communication.

Using the Talklets TEXTplayers and The Textic Readability ToolBar as a teaching aid, students of all ages learning a language can listen to and save web content in order to become accustomed to the spoken word as well as customize the text to suit their needs.

Two versions of Talklets TEXTplayers are available. Both are toolbars that allow a website to be read on-demand and content to be saved in MP3 format. The slightly larger of these versions features sight as well as sound options, including visual controls for font colour, size, and style.

Talklets TEXTplayers are available on a subscription basis to both individuals for personal use on home and work computers, and to organisations for the use of all clients and employees on the internet and intranets.
Now that the technology for speech-enabled websites is available in such a convenient format, in a growing number of languages and accents, computer users across the world will soon be saying goodbye to the silent web.

Talklets TEXTplayers not only make text come alive by speaking directly to the user but mobile as an MP3 which the user can listen to at leisure. Individuals benefit by having their experience of accessing information, making purchases, and learning languages on the web enhanced by sound, and companies and organizations benefit by the increased client 'stickiness' made by such a novel and useful tool.

The Textic Readability ToolBar is a downloadable product that provides individual users with the ability to apply visual controls easily to each Internet Explorer web page that they view. The toolbar has the BDA tick and is an aid for people with visual or hidden difficulties.
These controls allow the user to:
1. Magnify the screen
2. Change the screen background colour
3. Change the font displayed on the page
4. Change the colour of the font that is displayed
5. Have access to an on-line dictionary and thesaurus
